Still working on the kids book… Now it is a VW camper.
I have wondered if my illustrations are too detailed. But they are how I draw – I just hope they go with the writing…
Sorry the photo is bad but we have storms here and it is effecting the light badly.
The book has made it – right on time the proof has hit the mat.
There ae issues already but they are all easy fixes. I’m surprised it is as small as it is but happy that it is a good-looking book. Now it is with the editor – let’s see what she makes of it…
I have started to illustrate one of the three childrens books that I have written. Oddly, each was for a competition and all got to ‘almost’ stage and then fell to the wayside. So I thought – why not publish them…?
The first is with the editor at the moment and she is hacking it to bits, so while I wait I thought I could illustrate it. So here is the first. The books is for ages 7-10 years. I just hope that it isn’t too scary.
Well, I do write horrors.
Yep – I’m putting some of my artwork on sale. 50% off… Go have a look see. Basically I need to make room in my workshop.
I am in the next ‘Twisted Tales’ anthology and as part of the publication there is a people’s choice. Basically the people [you] can vote on any one of the 34 pieces of flash fiction.
One of those 34 is ‘Sky’ – my story.
So have a read and then go to the survey and make your choice. The rest of the entries can be read here…
The competition is open until the 10th July – so get reading and vote for the one you like best.
I’m pleased. Thank you to Ashton and Sharnie for agreeing to be my models – two brilliant cousins.
And it is finished but as it is going for a competition I will share the completed piece once it is up, or not… Everything is crossed that it will get picked though.
If you were wondering – it is my interpretation of a poem… ‘Frost at Midnight’ by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
The drawing is called ‘Janus’…
We have an odd fungi growing in the garden. I have called him Bob and he is staying where he is because I know nothing about fungi. He might be poisonous…
